2020 was a year unlike any other: a global pandemic, the deepest global recession since World War II and rising inequality around the world. While virtually all sectors of the economy were affected, education systems around the world were severely hit, with more than 188 countries forced to close schools throughout the rest of the year.
While it was a year marred with tragedy and heartache, by necessity education innovations and new approaches have emerged out of the turmoil and are presenting real opportunities to transform education worldwide.
Below are six trends and strategies that have changed after COVID-19 within education and the learning ecosystem:
1. Improved student agency.
2. The game changing role of parents in education.
3. New education allies.
4. The potential of education technology.
5. School emergency preparedness.
6. Support for schools and teachers.
During COVID, the whole world has changed and everyone is looking for a better change. Hope the upcoming days will carry the best and everything will be fine.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately our life changed after this pandemic. However, we learn many things during this two years.
ReplyDeleteEverything in life has its pros and cons, and this also applies to the Corona pandemic as you mentioned. May God make our coming days better.
ReplyDeleteAccording to what you've said, the coronavirus epidemic has been on the rise. A major impact has been made on the schools. I'm hoping the next few days are the greatest and that everything goes according to plan
ReplyDeletefor the students.
Despite the disadvantages of Corona pandemic and its impact on the educational felid but It lead to appearance of new approach in education which is distance learning, personally I consider that this is a positive point regardless its undesirable results but we can't judge the experience from its first time, especially that there were lots of difficulties. But The idea of integrating technology into education and the combination of online and in personal teaching/learning will have great impacts in educational domain if both teachers and learners are eligible for this combination.
ReplyDeleteSince the pandemic arrived many things that we thought were not possible before, became a reality. Who would have said that Lebanese students would ever try online learning? This pandemic had a huge impact on the importance of establishing online system in every single school.
ReplyDeleteThe shift to remote learning has changed me as a teacher. I can wholeheartedly say that the change has been, and will be, for the better. This shift has required me to use innovation and creativity for the most critical assessments while highlighting the importance of the teacher-student relationship.
